I find it uncomfortable that people can hear me using the restroom. I usually try not to go with other people there. I will if I have to though. But I DETEST people talking to me while I'm using the restroom -_-

A little but not too much. What I usually do when I'm in a public bathroom is, I put my hands over my ears so I can't hear it and it makes me more comfortable. Before, there were times when I couldn't even go b/c I was so embarassed.

I don't like it either. I could never go to the bathroom in front of anyone. I was on jury duty once and there were two damn bathrooms right in the jury room. I never went in because everyone could hear everything. I hated it - and on that case we spent a lot of time in the jury room and drank soft drinks. I hated that.

After serving in the Marine Corps for 4 years, you had to share the bathroom with 80 other people, all commodes with no stalls separating them. Later on in Viet Nam, you could share the out houses we built with local Vietnamese women laborers. So to answer your question, I don't care if people see or hear me going to the bathroom

i dont really care if they hear me now, it used to but then i thought, everyone does it. so i am not bothered by that anymore. but what would bother me is someone being able to SEE me going to the bathroom.

Yes! I do the water thing sometimes too. It's seems like a very private function.

It's a natural part of life, why would it matter? Everyone else eventually does the same thing. It should never bother you. I know it doesn't matter to me.
