I'm posting on a gnostic forum now, and have participated in others in the past. I'm aligned with the aspect of knowingness but not with the historical research that is sometimes involved. It's of interest in the same way various other belief systems are of interest, but I'm not a follower of any.

There are still Cathars around? The Roman Hate Machine won't be happy to hear that! LOL
I consider myself to be gnostic, but not Gnostic, if that makes any sense.
I seek gnosis (inner knowing), but I don't agree with the aspects of Gnosticism that deny the physical world.
If we are truly essences of light imprisoned within matter, I believe that such an existence serves a purpose.
I've learned too many lessons while living down here in School House Earth to consider myself the mere plaything of some mad Demiurge.
Although there are many aspects to Gnosticsm, and I admit that I am no expert when it comes to the details of said historical movement.
I would love to learn more about your perspective on Gnosticism.

I know, so I guess I am gnostic. However I don't label myself as a gnostic. I am gnostic because of my incredible experiences. I have explored all aspects of spiritualism that was meant for me to know. I had decided to follow the religion of my parents' background, Buddhism and Christianity. Although they raised me an atheist, I naturally gravitated towards spiritualism because I had felt that there is more than meets the eye.
And... there is.

The Gnostic interpretation of the bible really helped me to make sense of it all. The books by Elaine Pagels were great. Even though I keep trying to explain their logical version of original sin to modern christians, deep down inside I'm still agnostic.

I'm looking into the Gnostic gospels and find them fascinating. I'm leaning toward Buddhism, but I do believe in God/higher power, since I have had several experiences.

I am a self-made gnostic and do not adhere to any religion. As to what I believe, I don't have the time to put it down in words. No one would devote the time to read it, other than yourself. Are you a gnostic?

I consider myself a gnostic. My family thinks im crazy, but i believe what i want to believe. Even though all religions are pretty much the same if you think about it, they preach kindness, goodwill, they help guide you through life, etc, so i myself dont think anyone's religion is wrong.

i define myself as Gnostic. i have no set religion and seek to find my own truth to "find God". Seeking has lead me to explore different paths. i find most believe do coincide with many pagan believes. reincarnation, a feminine side to God ( along w/ masculine), no hell or devil. just to name a few. i also follow the teachings of Christ(all of them including from the Gospels of Thomas and Mary Magdalene) and Buddha though I'm still learning and will continue to search till I'm content.
