College is really different from high school in that area of speaking. It's not like the first day of high school where you can strut around through the halls and be seen by the same people all day long.

If you have a class you may only see the people who are in the class....during that time when you have a class. Sure you walk by people around campus, but it's not the same...in high school you usually see a lot of the same people all day long.

The best suggestion I can give is to just be confident, do some nice fall shopping for clothes, look presentable, speak up in class and show that you have something to add to class discussions. Get involved with activities on campus (i.e. student union, greek life, sports, etc) and you'll meet so many other people that way.

Good luck!

just be yourself. and if you act like you are lost and ask for help from a hot girl you might have started something but the most important thing is to be yourself because college girls don't like posers

Try being friendly & helpful;-} without being overbearing.
Girls are going to be insecure in a new environment.
If you're new there too, study up on the campus map.
Find out where things are, in case someone asks.
Ask "Can I help you find/carry something?"
But don't overdo it, don't hit on any one girl, just be available.

are you the partying type? if you are, i think going to some parties maybe during welcome week (when school doesn't start until the week after) will help. booze helps everyone calm down, and be laid back, chill, unless you overdo it. definitely do not be like "baby wussup let me get yo number." it's just gross. if you find someone that interests you, be yourself, talk about your freshman experience thus far.

Do simple things like dressing nice, smelling good, smiling, and making eye contact. It's just that easy.
