Not at all. Just like your toothbrush, mouthwash doesn't get in between your teeth at that tight little spot where the two teeth meet. The only thing that gets between the teeth and down around the gumline is flossing. There is no substitute for it. Mouthwash is antibacterial. But it doesn't knock the plaque off your teeth like floss does.
No Tanya, flossing after every meal is going a little overboard and could perhaps damage your gums and teeth. It takes the bacteria in your mouth 24 hours to become a disease producing colony. As long as you break up that colony once in a 24 hour period that is sufficient. Unless you have stringy meat caught between your teeth, well by all means get that out after a meal, but you don't have to do all your teeth.
Just floss once in the evening. After you are done eating for the day, floss and brush. Then while you sleep and until you eat again, there will be no bacteria and no sugar on your teeth to cause cavities.

Flossing is intented to remove food particles trapped between teeth. Using mouthwash alone will not do that.
Brushing atleast twice a day and flossing atleast once a day is recommended for this reason; certain types of bacteria can attach themselves to hard surfaces like the enamel that covers your teeth and If they're not removed, they multiply and grow in number until a colony forms.
More bacteria of different types attach to the colony already
growing on the tooth enamel. Proteins that are present in your
saliva (spit) also mix in and the bacteria colony becomes a whitish film on the tooth. This film is called plaque, and it's what causes cavities.
Untreated tooth decay causes more severe problems and can lead to gum disease.
Please do yourself a favor and floss atleast twice daily.

No, rinsing will not clean the spaces where the floss reaches as it cannot remove debris or plaque. Floss is the best thing to clean a tight space where the teeth contact one another. Their are other options like a sulcabrush, proxybrushes, stimudents, etc that can be used in wider spaces, but flossing tends to work best! You still need to floss at least 1x per day. You also need to brush your teeth 3x's a day. Flossing cleans between the teeth, and brushing gets the other 3 sides (out by your cheedk, In by your tongue or roof of the mouth, and the biting surface of your teeth). Mouth wash makes your mouth feel cleaner and some mouthwashes help to prevent gum disease and plaque buildup. You also should see a Dentist or Dental Hygienist every 6 months to have your teeth professionally cleaned.

Flossing is very important to do in addition to brushing. The toothbrush can't get in between your teeth the way floss does.

Comercials are a scam. I remember seeing one on tv and it showed the mouthwash going between the teeth and removing plaque in hard to reach places. Bull. Nothing works better than floss when it comes to removing plaque from in between teeth. Its VERY important. My favorite is Johnson & Johnson REACH. It is absolutely wonderful!

Floss at least at bedtime, it is a must!!! Food can get trapped and you can get a gum infection. Flossing after every meal is better

I'd do both. I floss a lot more now that we bought flossers. I always hated wrapping it around my fingers. Do both, can't hurt.
