This is only hypothetical and for fun.... But if they wake up in paradise do they think, "Woohoo!". Or do they think, "Dang it! I was wrong! There is a God and I am in heaven. Shoot"

I know its stupid, I'm just trying to alleviate for all the polemic questions.

I'd be pleasantly surprised, but I'd have one Hell of a lot of questions.

Jesus himself said if an atheist ends up in heaven he will be booted out

Matthew 22: 11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Heaven is reserved for believers.

The atheist would stand before God in all his glory, and hear the words, "Go away".

THEN the atheist would beg and plead, and say "Dang it, I was wrong! There is a God and now I must spend eternity separated from Him.

Happily, I'm Christian. I do not have enough faith to believe in the randomness of the universe, so I cannot be an atheist.

What should be asked is;
What if an atheist dies and wakes up AFTER BEING RESURECTED?
(Revelation 20:12-13) And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha′des gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.

What is he/she being judged on?

It is NOT what the have done in their past life. because of this;

(Romans 6:23) For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.

'Wages' is full payment for something. So death is our 'full payment' for all our sins.

so we do not 'owe' anything.

And if we do not 'owe' anything, just what are we being 'judged' on?

It is on our reaction and decision to the realization that we are now in God's new system of things.

We either accept and obey or are destroyed immediately. We sure have had plenty of time to make a decision...Our whole past life.

Why would I be upset? I would just realize that I was right all along. The most important thing in life is to be a good person, contribute to your fellow man, love your family and do your best to care for them and raise your kids to be good people and to try to leave the world better than it was before.

You didn't need to follow men who thought they knew what God wanted us to do. You had to live a good life.

Heaven would just be a bonus.

And I hope the band is as good as it's hyped up to be.

;-)

Since this is only a hypothetical, and if I die and ended up in heaven or hell of course, I would know I was wrong. But I know this will never happen.
And by the same token the same will happen when you die except that you're dead and it is the end of the road so you won't have a chance to say oh shiet I was wrong.

I'm an athiest. If I "woke up" in hell after I died I would be happy that there was something "after life". It would imply that there is something more to life than the meaning we invent. Connections to people and legacies is the only proven meaning.

I would think woohoo. No problem with being wrong. I don't mind if I am found wrong, but as of yet there is no evidence to show I'm wrong.

Ok, fine. I've woken up in paradise...
Me: "Holy cow!"
God: "I know. Amazing, huh?"
Me: "Are you sure I'm supposed to be here?"
God: "Why not?"
Me: "I was always told I was going to hell."
God: "Bah. Superstition. Who told you that."
Me: "I'd rather not say."
God: "All right. Well, welcome to paradise. Sign this."

A Catholic priest once told me that it wasn't hell but rather different degrees of heaven. The way he explained it to me was this...imagine, as a child, you have a beloved uncle. You see him often, he is loving and kind, and you run to him anytime you see him. Imagine, as a child, you have an uncle you rarely see...he is a stranger to you, you are polite but distant. Not hell, but varying degrees of heaven.
