Well, not like you... If he existsed, Jesus was just some guy.
" Jesus, son of 'God' " is a mere clone of many like him...

I believe that there was a real Jesus. He lived in a very different culture then our own and was probably a great philosopher.
I wish we knew more about what he actually had to say rather then what has been attributed to him over 1900 years of the telephone game.

sorry to burst your bubble...but there is absolutely no, none, zilch, zip, nada, nyet, niente, zero evidence outside the gospels for the existence of this biblical character named jesus of nazareth...how do you explain that? oh sure, there were some very lame attempts at attribution as in the case of josephus that were proved to be interpolation, that is, added to original text that was not written by the author, but someone else at a later date, in order to lend authenticity or credence to the historicity of jesus, and how about the fact that all the gospels were written decades after the events they supposedly chronicle and if, as told in 'the good book', that jesus was followed by the multitudes wherever he went, like some old world rock star, why was this not recorded by ANYONE!. oops!... new testament exposed!...and there are many, many other examples of this kind of deception, myth making, and usurping of older legends and traditions like osiris of egypt for example. no, jesus did not actually exist, he is an amalgam, a pual bunyanesque figure if you will, a compilation of the types, and personalities that abounded in that ancient and revolutionary time and that sadly, we in the present continue to be afflicted by the 'church' that was spawned by unscrupulous, deluded, corrupt, misguided or downright evil men througout history who were claiming to do 'god's work' or 'follow jesus teachings' and only succeeded in making the live of countless millions wretched beyond belief...no, i most certainly do NOT believe in jesus!

I have seen evidence that there was very likely a preacher, who we now call Jesus who lived in the Jerusalem region about 2000 years ago.

From the collected writings of his followers, it seems like he had some pretty good philosophical teachings (i.e. Do unto others).

However, I haven't seen anything that convinces me that this Jesus dude was in fact the personal incarnation of some deity, and I don't believe in the theological underpinnings of the after-life or the deity who is supposed to run it all.

I think it's likely that Jesus once lived. I in no way believe he is or was ever a god.

Yes I believe in Jesus, but it is not enough to only believe, the demons believe and tremble. Faith without works is dead. Are we a Christian or a Christ follower?

Do I believe there was a man named Jesus? Yes.

Do I believe he died for my sins? No.

The idea of "original sin" doesn't make sense. Why do I inherit someone else's sin and, more importantly, why do I have to be forgiven for it? I understand that I'm not perfect and I understand the grace of forgiving and being forgiven. But why would Jesus dying absolve anyone of his or her sin?
And why would I go to hell because I don't believe Jesus died for me?

Jesus is the son of the Living God.

There is no actual historical evidence to demonstrate that "Jesus" ever existed. The name Jesus was very ordinary 2000 years ago. If "Jesus" did exist, he was just a man with a good personality.
