If you are looking for a mix, go to the pound and get a dog that really needs a home. You will only need to pay the adoption fee, which will go to help more animals in the future.

Dogs are expensive! You will pay a few hundred for the spay or neuter and first year's shots (3 rounds) as well as check up and any emergency treatments. You will pay over 100 for food, another 100 for treats, toys, leash and collar etc etc etc. This dog is a mutt and is therefore less likely to have genetic problems, but being so small you never know. Always have a vet check before you adopt. I am not sure why you say buy - I assume you mean from a shelter - you can't really sell a 4 month old mutt - if it was an accidental breeding they should just be glad to find it a home!

Pedigreed dogs are worth a lot of money because they can be shown in the dog show rings. Mixed breeds don't get the high price tags because they're not pedigreed.
A pinscher/chihuahau mix is a mixed breed, just like a labradoodle and a cockapoo--you can't show them. But breeders still try to get top dollar for them, even though they're selling a 'mutt' with a cute name. Don't pay a high price for a mixed breed. No more than $100. If they want more than that, they're just gouging the public.

If you're not allergic, can take care of him/her, feed it, give it proper attention, training and Vet care then yes it would be worth it! Dogs are great to have. If you dont love dogs and really have to ask why you should get one, then are you sure you want a dog - dogs deserve to go in a home where theyre wanted and will be loved, and not given away to a shelter. Remember, its a living being you'll be taking care of not something yu'll have and can throw away when youre tired of it or no longer like it.
please adopt from a shelter.

I know these days pure breds are cute but the mix breeds like the one you are looking at are popular. My cousin just bought a mini pinch pure bred for $500 so a mixed breed should cost less but who knows because every breeder is different...I would look around the internet to see who is charging what....do your research before you buy ask how their temperments are so see if they match your lifestyle.

It depends, but the price really should not determine whether or not you get the dog. Dogs (especially puppies) are super expensive; so be sure you have money for all the costs included (i.e vet bills, food, toys, etc) and not just the purchase price.

A mix? Should be free or no more than $75. Sounds like a cute mix though!

Well since it is a mix and not a purebred it really hasn't much value. I would not go over $40.00. If you have to have the dog then you pay as much as you want since you Need to have it. I have a bouvier and we paid $1000.00. It all depends.

Whatever your local dog shelter adopts out dogs for that is what the dog is worth.

It's a mutt... not a pure breed. So it's not worth a large amount of money.
How do I know if it's "worth it"??? You didn't say what price they are asking.
