Do something nice for someone. It will pass time, and you will be amazed at how good it makes you feel.

First, come up with a few great goals for the summer. Goals are powerful.

Would you like to build a . Would you like to be able to run a mile in a certain number of minutes? Learn to play the guitar or the recorder? Learn some other skill (drawing...wood working...cart wheels...skating)? Read 20 books? Help your family for x number of hours this summer? Do x number of hours helping others? If you have some goals that seem interesting to you, it will make time seem a more interesting if you are working towards them.

Then, make a list of all the things you can do on a long day. You have some great ideas listed here, and you can probably come up with even more. You might choose fun things and also, things to stretch your abilities and your discipline, things to help others. Consult your list when you need something to do. Something might just pop of the page at you.

I am reminded of song lyrics (Beth Nielson Chapman in "Years") where someone would give anything for this same experience..."...And i thought of all the summers That i paced that porch and swore i'd die of boredom there And i thought of what i'd give to feel another summer linger Where a day feels like a year..."

Read a book, go outside, call a friend, or just try something you've never done before. Who knows you may find a new hobby.
