With all black furniture, I would pick a nuetral color leaning towards the white end of the spectrum, like a very light grey and put up lots of mirrors to bring out the chrome. Also for bedding, I would chose =something with a gray/black color scheme, with some red for punch.Red pillows perhaps

Something pale. Benjamin Moore "Mirage" on the wall, a white with a tiny rose shade(this is not pink so don't worry), "Silver Iced Cube" trim. Ivory or Linen White accents on bedding, pillows, curtains. There is nothing that lightens up black furniture like these creamy accents. All black can be very harsh and cold. With soft whites the black/chrome dominants don't overwhelm the room. Benjaminmoore.com
Black framed photographic prints would look great. They also blend well with the dual purpose of the room.
Michaels, a craft site on the web. always has this type of photographic print. Frames, too. Maybe there's one near you.
The effect: not too bedroomy; not too officey. Get something green, too. A nice palm tree from Home Depot. Or something else green and leafy. Don't use fussy curtains. Keep it neutral and cool.

Get a bright color for bedding, such as sapphire blue, ruby red, or emerald green, with a little black in it. Paint walls the bright color from the bedding, and add roller blinds in ivory, black, or the bright.
Add other accessories in the bright, black, or silver. Add
a potted plant [ even fake ], a brushed chrome desk or floor lamp, some personal photos [ family, friends, vacations ] in similar frames [ chrome ], maybe a calming poster or inspirational saying.

i'm just having my bedroom decorated and i'm have 'espresso' (basically black) furniture......
i'm having white walls with 1 metallic 'eau de nil' (pale green) wallpaper...it looks amazing :)
with this i'm having white/ivory bedding
i'm also going to have accents of the green in things such as the light shade, throw and decorations
my second accent colour is going to be quite a bright pink which is going to be on things like cushions, candle holders and other lights (like twig lights with pink flowers), i'm also going to try get a pink orchid for my room too
good luck decorating.. hope it looks just as nice as my room hehe xx

I think a pale sea green or blue would create a modern look with that type of furniture, or a deep tan or brown.

Any shade of grey with maybe a little splash of red here and there would look great.

Mint green would look good. Red would be OK if not a little harsh. Yellow would be cute.
