I've got all black furniture in my bedroom/office, which chrome accents on little things such as door pulls and dresser drawers.

I just need to decide on a color scheme for the walls and other coordinating colors (such as bedding and wall decor).

Any ideas?

It would depend on whether you want to use warm or cool colors.
If it is a bedroom/office, I would want it to feel more restful than not.
First, I would go with a neutral color on the walls and bedding, such as taupes and sand. You want to do this so it will be easy to change accessories if you want a new look.
Then, find a large accent rug that your really like... Go for any color you like; this will be your complementary color. (In my mind I see either a burgundy or slate blue.)
From that point, you can add throw pillows and other room accents in that complementary color. A large, black-framed print would look nice with that color in the matting as well.

Hope this helps!

if the room is big, dark deep colors work, making the room seem smaller, more intimate. light colors are better for a small room, making it seem larger. since you have a dramatic black color, i'd say use a crimson red. not too orange but not too close to brown. either that or burnt orange. something that is bold, not bland or vague. maybe add some texture such as a sponge print.

i think red looks great with black and chrome. especially if you accent the softer features such as the bedding and curtains. get wall decorations that accent all colors and include gray.

I've always liked the combination of black, taupe, and white. I think it looks very calm yet sophisticated. Black/chrome furniture, taupe walls, white on ceiling and woodwork. Black shades on lamps. White or black bedding; one or the other; monochromatic. And maybe a red pillow here or there.
