Not everyone is immediatly annointed in the HOLY SPIRIT. But by being Baptized with Water you are BORN AGAIN . . .
You'll see this in the bible that some had been Baptized with water Baptism but had not yet recieved the HOLY SPIRIT until the Apostles laid hands on them . ..
if you want this, ask, but if you don't receive it even on Earth it is okay eventually you will, first study scripture, and do your best to ground yourself in JESUS that when you do receive the HOLY SPIRIT annointing you will be prepared . ..
GOD deliberatly fertilizes trees and prunes them that they become more fruitful. GOD did this also with the Apostles preparing them for their task before annointing them. Therefore i wouldn't expect to be speaking in tongues at your Baptism . .. doesn't mean it won't if you ask, but that's not typically the way that goes. (though pentecostals would have it no other way than to be "slain in the SPIRIT" during Baptism of the HOLY GHOST)
-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.
:responsorial edit: JESUS BAPTIZES with the HOLY GHOST if you've received the gift of tongues the HOLY GHOST has BAPTIZED you . .. Though we have a sacremental procedure which requires only ONE BAPTISM which must be done in the TRINITARIAN FORMULA . .. preferably by a priest in church, and documented because you cannot receive two Baptisms . ..

"Getting the Holy Ghost" is something God does. In Baptism. It's what the Sacrament is all about. It has nothing to do with YOUR "faith" - even the faith you have is a gift of God's Grace. Stop fretting and get Baptized.

I'm not Christian anymore but it is my understanding that you can be filled with the Holy Ghost at anytime not just at baptism. Are you concerned that you need to speak in tongues? If so, don't worry---the Bible says tongues is one of the gifts of the Spirit and is given out as God wills.

Then a year later he gave me divers types of tongues I received 2 more types of tongues.

I am guessing you're being baptiized in a Catholic church. They believe you actually get the "holy ghost" during baptism. Most Christians do not believe that.
Baptism is an act of obedience to what God asks of us in the Bible, baptism does not give you "the holy ghost" or make you holy.
You get holy spirit when you first accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

1. You got Baptized in the Holy Spirit when you got Born-Again (Saved, spirit Recreated).
GOD comes to live inside of you when you get saved.
2. You have to Ask to be Filled with the Holy Spirit. Not dunked in water.
3. Dunking in water is an out ward sign that you got saved and is optional to going to Heaven.
You do not have to be dunked in water to go to Heaven, but after Salvation, you should want to be dunked in water.
Also, after you get Filled with the Holy Spirit (by Asking GOD to fill you---your really giving GOD Permission to come into your Soul)
you will be able to Pray in Tongues in your Prayer Closet all by yourself--which Edifys you (builds you up Spiritually).
Charges up your spiritual batteries.
Hope this helps!
Ditto.

No, (so some distance as i be responsive to) I certainly have seen the Holy Ghost named that and Holy Spirit. diverse variations of the bible will reference this as the two. yet as with all religious subject remember, it is open to interpretation.

You already have the Holy Spirit in you. Only those with the Spirit can love God. Your Baptism is a sign to you of the washing away of your sins in Christ Jesus.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is guaranteed. "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38 No if's, and's, or but's.

Water Baptism does not "impart" the Holy Spirit to a person. Here's what Jesus said about it.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
If you look through the Book of Acts you see people getting the Holy Spirit in a variety of circumstances. When Peter preached to Cornelius and his household the Holy Spirit came upon them. When Paul laid his hands upon some believers in Ephesus they received the Holy Spirit. When some believers who had been through the baptism of John were baptized in Jesus' name they received the Holy Spirit. When the early church was praying in the upper room the Holy Spirit came upon them.
The book of Acts is a historical book and you should not derive doctrine from it. But it does illustrate the truth of what Jesus said. God gives the Holy Spirit when and how it pleases Him.
In this passage the verb form of the words "ask, seek, & knock" are all in the present continuous form. That means that it is like He was saying "ask, and keep on asking. Seek and keep on seeking. Knock and keep on knocking".
Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
