how many kids is the most resonable

My husband jokes that when the kids out number the parents its time to quit. We have three, I wanted four. Three is a nice number, if I were wealthy I would have a dozen. Kids are just so expensive, they get more costly as they get older lessons, sports, braces. I want my kids to have those experiences so three is where we stopped. I do think it is different for every family as far as energy levels, finances and priorities. Its not the same for everyone.

If you have the policy my wife's aunt and uncle have, good Catholics that they are, no number is unreasonable: 18 and out! Mom and dad buy everything on sale and in bulk, have the bedrooms set up as dormitories, make the older kids responsible for the younger ones, everyone has assigned chores, and on their 18th birthdays they're kicked out (suitcases-on-the-sidewalk kicked out).

Personally, I favor 3-4.

The ironic thing is that, aside from the Mormons, the families that can most afford a large number of kids tend to have the fewest or none at all, and the poorest families tend to have the most. Which is not to say that many large, poor families don't have the most beautiful, intellgent, loving, giving children who all go on to great success, or that some well-to-do families don't neglect their one and only child to the point of his or her being a detriment to society.

The only reliable rule is that all generalities are false, including this one.

I have 13 soon to be 14! I don't know if that's the most reasonable number for you, but it's reasonable for me, that's why it works. For you a reasonable number could be only 1. I don't know, average I would say is 2 maybe 3.

i think that u should have as many kids as u want as long as u can handle them and u take care of them. i don't think that u should have a lot of kids if any if ur not a good parent. i think that u should only decide to have kids if u really want them. its not a job to have kids. its a privlage. i think that many people don't realize that. but by all means if u have the time and want to put in the effort then i think u should have as many kids as u want! good luck and i hope i could help u.

reasonable? I can handle my 6 easily and take my friends 3 all the while watching my neice and nephew, I guess that reasonable would be at least 11 for me.

Depends on what you can handle. My hubby and I have 6. It's always fun at our house!
