Angels come in all forms and we don't know who or where they approach us. God tests to see how generous you are and if you have sympathy for the beggars. It says: Give and ye shall recieve. Probably not in money, but by good deeds. When I see a person asking for money, I give . Even when I have to pull my vehicle to the side of the road. I am so sure that the person begging is at the lowest point in their lives. And if it is an Angel, you will be blest !!

I believe that is a possibility but at the same time, no one can help any and all homeless people out, so that would be some test. I think we should give/help when we can but also realize a lot of homeless people like it. My boss' best friend took a homeless person in to try and get them a job, gave them clothes, etc. The homeless person starting bringing trash into his house and seemed not to understand what getting a job and getting on his feet would mean. He still wanted to collect trash, he wouldn't shower and tried to sell the things he was given and still wear his homeless clothes.

They are not angels. This truth is based on the parable of the wedding banquet where the poor, the blind, the maimed and the lame when they were invited to the wedding feast (THE LAMB), they all came as spiritually, they were all hungry not of physical food but the the spiritual food. But the rich and powerful men who were invited to the wedding banquent of THE LAMB -THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (in reality is the coronation event of chosen kings in the kingdom of heaven), none of them came; it is because THE LORD JESUS CHRIST did not chose the rich and the powerful and intellectuals as they are destined to be earthbound deceived by satan. Thus, the poors, the blind, the maimed and the lame are whom THE LORD JESUS CHRIST has chosen to become HIS CO-RULERS in the kIngdom of heaven. Among those who also came that filled up one half of the wedding hall were ordinary peoples in the street and those who were compeled to come but whose names have been actually written and the divine book or the Scriptrure which is merely (re-) enacted in the physical world. Thus, the poor are not angels but are the incoming kings or the gods of the soon coming kingdom of heaven. This is so as the poors, the lame, the maimed, the blind partake of the honor and glory of THE SUFFERING SERVANT LORD JESUS CHRIST-THE KING OF KINGS. This means that they belonged to the same group of divine monarchy. THANK GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD.

I believe that that certainly CAN happen. Mostly they are mentally ill people thrown on the streets by our back-asswards health-care system and some are just people who are just like you and me....but were living paycheck-to-paycheck and fell through the cracks.

Oh. And some of 'em are just nutters.

No. I believe people begging on the streets are poor buggers who need some food and shelter, but are too slow to realise they can go to a homeless shelter and whatnot.

They are as lilies of the field

Matthew 6:27-29
27 And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life? 28 And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. 27 And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life? 28 And why do you worry about clothing? In the Bible God says we should care for the poor. Regardless of who we think they are, we who have much should care for others who are in need.
