Humanity is made up of many tiers of intelligence and awareness. The truth is...almost all scientists and high IQ humans know that all religion is false. Anyone intelligent enough to understand evolution knows this reality, without any doubt.

Once you realize all religion is false, history unfolds to reveal the horrors of this disease. Religion posions everything and essentially slows the capablities of man to snails pace, and even reverses it.

The intellectuals of the world have know this for a while, however they constantly have to appease the ignorant herd, or as some call it, dealing with the "tryanny of the weak (stupid, whatever)".

The human species itself faces many possible extinction events, yet, so long as we are diseased by religion, slowed by its prudish mores, plagued by its many wars and terrorist movements, divided by its "us against them" teachings...we simply cant collectively defend the species itself against the impending doom.

Brecht: Intelligent people understand the scope of the question or dont answer strawman questions.

What does the word "discourage" mean? Does it mean "end". Is this a small point Im making? Is your IQ above 100?

You are 100% correct! I could not have said it better.

As long as we allow the disease called religion we will never know peace.

To a snails pace... and these highly intelligent people can't figure out how to get around that. This honestly sounds no different than some of the rants about how Jesus is the only way. One thing I see you insinuating is that believing in anything you don't believe automatically makes one stupid, of low IQ... not much different than those saying that "unless you are saved".... try to fit everyone within a group of others making and claim that it's freedom. The "us against them" teachings, you have displayed as well.

I read the book too. Some fine points... but generalized to the point that it's not much more than what is delivered by other groups. The frustration behind it was evident and I can't say totally misplaced... but the whole "if you believe in any god/goddess/supernatural you aren't intelligent like I am" is really no different than Mainstream religions telling the rest of us that we aren't "worthy" either.

"Humanity is made up of many tiers of intelligence and awareness."

Indeed.

"The truth is...almost all scientists and high IQ humans know that all religion is false."

Not true.According to a recent survey, over 60% of natural scientists believe in God.59% of biologists believe in God.Over 75% of doctors believe in God.

"Anyone intelligent enough to understand evolution knows this reality, without any doubt."

There are religious people who believe in evolution.Your conclusion is false.

"Once you realize all religion is false, history unfolds to reveal the horrors of this disease."

The horrors of the disease of religion? What about the horrors of the effects of atheism?

"Religion posions everything and essentially slows the capablities of man to snails pace, and even reverses it."

Right. That's why the church through the centuries has led the way in a number of fields, including medicine and university education.

"The intellectuals of the world have know this for a while"

So anyone who is an atheist is an intellectual? And it is impossible to be an intellectual and a religious person?

"however they constantly have to appease the ignorant herd, or as some call it, dealing with the "tryanny of the weak (stupid, whatever)".

So you believe that the religious are ignorant, weak, stupid, and part of herd.So much for this wonderful atheistic tolerance I hear so much about.

"slowed by its prudish mores"

So basically,do whatever you want? Destroy anything in your path to get what you need? So rape would be okay if it furthered the population? Murder would be just dandy if there was overpopulation?

"plagued by its many wars and terrorist movements"

You mean like the many wars that have had no religious cause or influence?

"divided by its "us against them" teachings"

Kind of like your distinction between the intelligent, enlightened atheists and the mindless sheeplike religious people,eh?

".we simply cant collectively defend the species itself against the impending doom."

And neither can we do so when people are nasty and use the government as an agent of persecution against things and people you don't like.
You can have your North Korean dictatorship if you want.Me? I prefer a civilized democratic form of government.

I kind of see where you are coming from, but I only see the Abrahamic faiths causing trouble, I know many people of different "religions"

I recently asked a question, wondering whether anti-religious people do they put Deists, in with their stereotypes. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I am albeit, "religious" I am not grouped in with the zealots.

I think there are some very harmful belief systems around today, but not every last one is. If that is your wish then I would not stand in your way unless you became the shadow you chase.

P.S this may be gibberish, I just got home from a stag do(A Good one)

I am certainly an intelligent Atheist, and a partisan for the cause of science in the interest of humanity. I am also intelligent enough to understand that there is no means to eradicate religion; it is a belief system held in a person's mind, and there is no way to police one's mind---nor should there be.

Just so you know, Albania was officially an Atheist state from 1967-1991, and the experiment to remove religion was a failure. It may have removed the outside evidence and public show of religious belief, but people's faith was completely unaffected.

Edit:
What are the first two words in your question? Oh yes, they are "Ending religion." Are you intelligent enough to know what you have just written?

That's exactly what the Soviets and Red Chinese did and killed more millions than all the religiously-excused wars and persecutions have done to this point. Let's hope the Jihadist Islamists don't brake the secularists' 20th century record.

The government should stay out of religion and irreligion as long as Natural Law is followed or even just civil laws unviolated.

With AIDS and other venereal epidemics with great suffering and death worldwide ,IMHO I think that we need more not less mutually exclusive, loving and permanent monogamy and chastity.

Also, there are more theistic intellectuals than atheistic. The last thing we need is more atheistic persecutions and harassment of non atheists and we don't need persecution of non theists ,agnostics or atheists or any other sort of "infidel' either.

Marxism has been responsible for more genocide than religion. Rommel, Hitler, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot all are 'students' and followers of Marxism and it's philosophies which by the way are not dependant on religion (quite the contrary actually) Do you realize Your same scholars and 'High IQ posessors' have also Tallied Mao Tse Tungs Genocides and know he Is responsible for more deaths an on averge day than all of the crusades combined. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I have hope for the future that it will eventually happen. But I would say not in my lifetime or even the next few hundred years.

Religion is a powerful tool of control. The Government decided about 70 years ago to begin using religion to increase its control over the general population in the USA.
It is unlikely that they will give it up.

So you want corrupt, rotten to the core governments to outlaw corrupt, rotten to the core religion.

The corrupt, rotten to the core government would have done this already, but religion is a core tool by which they keep control over the masses.

It's all connected. It would be the government cutting off one of it's own corrupted hands - separation of church and state is surface only, in reality church is just a tool of those in power, to keep them that way.

Well, its someone's personal choice. Goverment can tie someone to stop going to church or mosque, but can they erase their faith, belief, or thoughts, they devote to God, and their religion? I dont think so. Im not taking religion's side, but i dont think so that religions are harmful? Thats a very wrong word. If someone is given a position/ authority/ job for a good purpose, but the person uses it for total corruption, it does not mean that position or job was wrong....no....that person was wrong.

And, which religion preaches "us against them"? How it was said, where it was said, and by whom?

Oh and commenting on religion again and again, taking it serious, doesnt make you religious aswell? Like dada movement hated art and became art movement itself in the end...lol........just wondering...

Peace,
