As I have stated in other posts I was a used car tech for over 10 years and am now a Ford Transmission tech. I would by far pick the Ford F150 over any other truck in its class. The F150 is tough has no major problems and its record stands for itself. I have worked on more Chevy's for poor design flaws and the leaking Toyotas that are so darn great. And if you have to repair that Toyota you better have a savings account cause parts costs are outrageous. All modern vehicles are pretty reliable what you see on TV is good advertising from Toyota and poor publicity for Ford. All you need to do is your research on which has had the most recalls and you will see that the F150 is trouble free.

go ford . toyota has a good rep with their cars but trucks are a different story . ford is actually better than the toyota , in durability ,safety and longevity . chevrolet is good too. The ford will give you more for your money in the long run. drive the ford drive the chevy or dodge or toyota andmake up yur mind . ford has been the longest lasting trucks and on top of its game for 30 years . go to ford.com and check it out. ford is the only one that you can see everythign online how they make to comparison with other automakers.make a wise decision not a quick decision.

ford (fix or repair daily) ON THE SERIOUS SIDE I HAVE DRIVEN FORDS PICKUPS FOR I GUESS 40 YEARS -- I HAVE A 1992 FORD PICKUP AND THE ONLY THING (I DON'T COUNT TIRES OIL CHANGES TUNEUPS ETC) HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH IS I HAD THE GLOVE BOX HINGE BREAK AND LETS SEE I GUESS THAT IS IT AND THE GLOVE BOX COST ME NOTHING BECAUSE I WENT TO A JUNK YARD AND FOUND ONE THAT WAS THE SAME COLOR AS MY TRUCK=== OUTSIDE OF MAYBE CHANGING THE OIL (IF IT NEEDED IT) I WOULD NOT BE SCARE OF FIRING IT UP AND DRIVING ACROSS THE COUNTRY TOMORROW . IT HAS OVER 200OOO MILES AND STILL TICKING. ON YES I FORGOT THE HEAD LINER IS SAGGING A LITTLE BIT -- BUT IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME SINCE I AM SAGGING A LOT.

I've owned several of both. Ford trucks do not hold resale value, and I found, they have a lot more trouble than chevys. My chevys have a higher resale value and are more trouble free. I get between 250,000 and 300,000 miles on my chevy trucks if I run Mobil 1 synthetic oil in em.

I would buy a Toyota truck. The reason is they last a lot longer and have less repairs. Toyota requires much more perfection in their manufacturing process. Ford is tettering on bankruptcy due to poor quality while Toyota is immensely profitable. If there is a defect in a Toyota truck, they ask five questions to get to the source of the problem; Ford just fixes the problem and does not dig deeper. I would never buy their products. Ford is an embarrassment to America.

I think so. Mine is one of the best vehicles I ever owned and Ford stands by there warranty, which is something I can't say about the Toyota I owned. Toyota was more like "You bought it you own it" I couldn't get service from the dealer or factory reps.

Ford trucks are GREAT! Chevys are good too. But as far as explorers and sport tracs, they're not any good. The cars are cheap too. But if you want a TRUCK go for it, they've got the easiet financing to qualify for too!
