I am going through a similar situation to what he is experiencing, so I will gladly give you my take. Many guys want to spend time with a girl once they start immediately going out, but if you are too busy for them then they lose interest. This mostly seems like a teenage or younger situation.
My situation is that I am dating a girl who has to get over an ex first before she can date me. I am for this because I want what is best for her, but at the same time, I am guilty because I want to spend time with her and I keep pressuring her to go out although I know she needs time for other things.
This is not your fault, just an impatient boy. Don't live your life according to others.

Apparently you weren't what he wanted. It happens. And what's with the phrase I see all the time: "broke up"? How can you be broken up if you were never set? You went out. That's all. You weren't committed so there was nothing to break off.

guys are dumb. the younger they are the dumber. sometimes its an ego thing. they want something they cant have but once they attain it, thats when they realize whether they really wanted it or they just liked the wild goose chase.
