Don't get the 6 cylinder. I have seen far too many people buy the ram with the 3.7 liter hoping to get better gas mileage but you really don't get any better than the 4.7 or the 5.7 Liter hemi, and if you do it is only by about one mile to the gallon. Plus, it is dog slow, and performance parts are incredibly hard to find. Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with the 3.7, I have one in my Dakota, but for the size truck it is too underpowered, and you will get the same mileage as a larger engine. My advice would be to spend the extra money and buy one with a hemi. Go dodgeforum.com and check out the 6 cylinder section in 3rd gen ram. Good luck!

Just get the V8 man. You will be disappointed witht the V6 and its gas mileage. The engine has to work alot harder and use more fuel to get moving than a V8 would.
