How far of a drive are you willing to take your child to his/her after school activities? ex: soccer practice, piano lessons, gymnastics, dance class

Kinda depends on how important it is to my child. If it is a select team they travel more and it takes more from the parents, if it means a lot to my child I would sacrifice to help that happen. Although. other things do factor in like expense and how much time I have to chauffeur him around. I have three kids so it can't be all about one child. Our activities are usually in the same town we live in but on occasion we travel beyond esp if they are playing select ball.

Her dojo is about 30 minutes away (4 cities away), but well worth the drive IMO because I really like the school's policies and methods. Good martial arts schools are very hard to find.
Other activities I wouldn't go more than 15 minutes in town for.

Depends...Our son is starting a travel baseball team, so we will be going to surrounding towns up to 35-40 minutes away. Everything else is in town. However, our town is very big, so with traffic sometimes it takes 20 minutes just to get to the other side of our town.

I am 13 and I take dance, karate, and drama and they're all in the same town. She'll only take me to activities in town or MAYBE the next town over if it is close by.

I would only drive for practice here in town. If I had to drive them to another town for a game, that is different. If someone is wanting their kids to be in sports they need to make an effort to make it to their games. It doesn't matter where it is.

1/2 hour. Probably longer even if they absolutely loved it. I would just bring a chair and a book and stay there with them. They are my kids!! You bet your bippy I would go out of my way for them. Being a stay at home Mom helps

If it is an activity that they enjoy i would go an hour or a little bit more and if it is regular then it is no find another club.

the furtherest I go is about 10km. They cost enough as it is without taking petrol into account
