Besides the lack of credibility to their claims. I mean what parts of the philosophy to you reject?

I'll stat it off:

What you believe is more important than what you do.
The highest virtue is faith (believing without proof)
The only unforgivable sin is blashepomy

Sounds like a hustle to me.

I can see how you would think these things if you looked at practitioners of modern day "Christianity", which isn't at all. You're right, there are many, many people who believe those things and live accordingly.

However, that doesn't mean they are true tenets of Christianity. Nowhere in the Bible (which is how Christians learn about what it means to be a Christian) does it say that what you believe is more important than what you do. Jesus jacked people up for hypocrisy.

The highest Christian virtue is not faith; it's love. People don't live that, I know, but that doesn't change the fact that that's what's written. (1 Corinthians 13:13; Matthew 22:35-40)

Yes, according to Jesus the only unforgiveable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost; but that doesn't mean that all sins a person commits are forgiven in a blanket blood bath. A person has to accept Christ first, and that means repenting of all that; repenting means "I regret doing that and I'll never do that again," and they mean it and don't go back.

The very best reason to reject Christianity is because you don't want it. At least you'll be honest with yourself then.

thank you for bringing up the area. Now that I incredibly have theory approximately it and look at in the time of the solutions so some distance, i think of that a extra robust way of posing the question would have been: isn't the popular reason to forget approximately approximately Christianity and in no way provide extreme psychological attention to its claims is the coaching approximately sexual immorality? And now i visit respond to my very own question (as looks the habit between many individuals these days). the popular way so make certain cognitive dissonances between BC and AC (previously birth control and After birth control) and rather some others, i'd upload, is to easily forget approximately approximately or trivialize the difficulty. Which, given the various opportunities for cognitive dissonances in cutting-element first international societies, explains the present point of apathy, low voter turnout, and rather some different "isms" besides. As lots of the different posters have indicated, this project won't be the main psychological block for human beings that do heavily learn Christianity from a coldly logically attitude. Love those atheists although. i do no longer think of you will properly be a “genuine, mature” Christian till you have examined your faith in an somewhat extreme way. those adult adult males and gals are plenty closer to God than rather some different individuals, even although they'll deny this with a interest. If there's a God (which i understand and believe that there is) then he would needless to say be extra satisfied with an atheist who replaced into going around actively engaged in pointing out inconsistencies in "Christian" faith and arguing on R&S than the overpowering majority that have their head in the sand. the tale of the apostle Paul comprises concepts.

Whats the best way to reject christianity ?
Hmm..don't subscribe!
If you don't fully believe in a system that works then sure reject it.
If you don't subscribe then don't think that you'll be called as friend but rather as the rival to conquer.
If you don't get conquered then two blokes will knock on yer door, telling you that the world will end if you don't start believing today!
If you don't want to believe and cause concern to others in yer community then ring some bells - play with the cows in the fields - they love bells!

If belief is yer problem there are plenty of other people who want to convince you that there is a way and means etc, etc to survive this ordeal...but it'll cost ya..plenty!

If belief in a system has got to ya - then its time to regroup yerself and drop a huge one!

If there is a life after these lies then you'll find out. We won't ever know because you'll be gone and we won't know you when you do come back. Aaaaargh!

They only truthful thing you said was : The highest virtue is faith( believing without proof) You believe there is no God without proof. And, Christianity is not a philosophy, it's a chosen way of life, the way that leads to eternity with Christ, our Redeemer & Friend. You see, if you choose NOT to believe, then you make up something that fits the style of life you have chosen to live. There's no hustling about it. You either believe or you don't. God will judge us all in the end to see who He calls His Children. You will either be in or out. The Bible says that, not me.
Maybe you should read it with an open mind.

Having been a child in the 60s and fascinated by the Eastern influence in pop culture I was open to widening horizons. As I grew into my teens and began to question the natural order of things I began to see how mean, violent and prejudiced the majority of Christians were. I began to study Eastern philosophy more because of what I saw in the Christian community and the pieces in the Bible didnt fit with reality. Because of my questioning I saw Christians being even more heartless than I had realized before.
Into my late teens I began to study the Bible (both Old and New) and compare it to known history. The facts did not add up. In fact it was an absolute farce. The general theme of non-violence and love and charity I agreed with, but I found a great number of contradictions with in the source itself. Not to mention there are many 'non-Christian' episodes in the Old Testament. Most if not all of the Christians I knew and met did not follow the doctrines of their beliefs. They are mean, spiteful, hateful, jealous, greedy and vengeful.
As I read more about ancient philosophy and especially Eastern (Bhagavad-Gita, Vedas) they were so much closer to reality than the fantasy writings in the Bible.
So there you have it.

The Vedas discuss a time when giant searpants roamed the Earth. This was written over 5000 years ago. Where in the Bible is there a mention of a time before humans? Just one point.

That's exactly the point of what faith is:

Hebrews 11:1 -- Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Perhaps you don't believe because you don't want to believe. You have to be willing to open your heart to God in order to understand Him and find faith.

1 Corinthians 2:14 -- But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.

Cheryl E wrote: "To me it's the concepts of sin and hell. They are fear tactics designed first to make people feel guilty and have no self-respect and to punish them if they don't follow the rules. What better way to control minds?"

Would that also describe how you raise your children -- scare tactics and mind control? We (and I would expect most people) teach children right from wrong and set rules for them because we love them and want to keep them safe and happy.

In the same way, we are God's children, and He tells us right from wrong, which keeps us safe and joyous in Him, and so we will be with Him in Heaven when we die. We are saved by the grace of Jesus, so it's not about being scared of hell.

the best reason to reject christianity is becasue you haven't heard the whole story of it which means you haven't heard all the facts if you DON'T accept Jesus or at least hear out a christian. they are nice people but they are till people and the world expects them to be perfect but the truth is they are just like the rest of the world and that means they stumble. cut them a break! God does! and he'll cut you a break too, if you ask. Salvation is a free gift. you just have to ask for it. You aren't judged and christians are very welcoming. The guy that wrote half the new testament which we take very seriously nearly killed the church when it first got started. but hey! His painting hangs in my church and he is considered the cream of the crop. God's plan for him was for him to go and speak to the nonjews. If God loves him that much, a church killing jew who has been in prison and given the order to stone a christian to death and watched it happen, how much do you think he loves you? Give him a shot! By the way, The man's name was Paul. I don't know if maybe you heard of him?

BTW the unpardonable sin is giving satan the credit for the work of God. what you do is motivated by what you beleive. faith generates actions. faith is beleiving what you cannot see.

For me, the real objection to Christianity is the moral objection, for exactly the reasons you've stated.

Man is neither responsible for his own sin or his own salvation. He is born corrupt with the "Original Sin" of some imagined ancestor, and the only way out is to profess belief in the efficacy of the sacrifice of Jesus to vicariously atone for that sin. This is why Christianity has always been so popular in prison and rehab. Taken seriously, it is nothing less than the complete abdication of all personal responsibility.

The best reason for a person to reject Christianity is if they don't feel like it will help them, or if they don't believe it. Otherwise being a christian is an excellent spiritual journey that can open a person up to their full potential in this world, if it works why reject it?

It is a hustle. Religion is just what people come up with to answer questions they can't answer through other means. As Karl Marx said it is the "opiate" of the people. All religions seem to go the way of the dinosaur, Christianity just seems to be hanging on longer than most.
