Why is it unhealthy?

Hydrogenated oil is vegetable oil that has hydrogen added to it. The hydrogen makes the fat "harder" which in turn makes it stick to your arteries. This is used in many products (along with sugar) and makes those products last longer in the store. Hydrogenated oil and partially hydrogenated oil are unhealthy because they clog your arteries which promotes heart disease, can make you fat, are loaded with trans fats and they raise your LDL (bad cholesterol) at the same time they are lowering your HDL (good cholesterol). So, it really is very unhealthy for you.
