Well it helps to know you're age because people are able to think of things to do that would suit you and you're age much better.
Maybe you could go to a skating rink? And if you're mom is a little rusty.. you could watch her fall on her behind and you could laugh? =)
How about a theme park if you have the money and the day to spend together? Or even just renting some older movies that you both like and watch them? Bike riding? Backyard games? Get a cheap volleyball or bat mitten set and put it in the backyard? Swimming? Fishing?
Video games together? You could beat her at you're favorite games.

Go out for dinner, take a stroll in a park and look at the flowers and birds, take a walk on the beach, rent a good movie, pop some popcorn and just have a quite evening at home. Look through some old family photos and reminisce.

you all should get all your pictures together. go to walmart or art supply store. get some scrap booking items like the stickers, decals, embellishments, different scrap paper, not glue but the stick tabs so your pictures do not warp or the paper. there are several scissors you can buy with different cutting edges. you can buy stamping stuff to stamp things in there also. i think it is fun and all 3 nieces all said they wished their mom's would put scrap books together with them. it will let you all spend time together. look at pictures and bring back memories of the good old days. plus it will be a memory you can have forever. please take my idea as something fun for you girls to do. what more fun than that to do with mom. better than shopping. see you can take things she says of the occasion and write it down. scrap booking is so fun and enjoyable. good luck.

How about packing some sandwiches, fresh fruit and veggies and going to a nearby park for a picnic? That's always a fun summer activity to do together!

I would suggest going somewhere and
a. getting a manicure and a pedicure
b. getting your hair done/cut/trimmed
c. getting a facial
d. tanning (if you like tanning)
e. shopping for things that you wouldn't get for your b-day
when you go its always fun to eat lunch somewhere that your not used to, a little cafe or a sit-down resturaunt where you can relax and talk.
I hope you and your mom have fun.

I am glad you mentioned your age in your question. What I recommend doing is going out to Dairy Queen to get a couple of milk shakes.
