msconfigure or msnconfigure?

I was shown how to type msconfigure or was it msnconfigure in the run box to open another window to shut down programs not needed so I could play games with out computer lock up and when typed in the above ..file not found help please,having game withdrawls.

It is just msconfig.

yes, it is just: msconfig. clk Startup after it loads.
