I have a strong belief in God and in Jesus Christ. I do not attend Church and haven't for many years. I believe that God created all for a purpose and all living things need to be respected. I totally subscribe to "judge not that ye not be judged." although I haven't a clue where that comes from. I believe in giving to the poor, respecting our elders, treating all people with respect and dignity despite what my personal opinion might be. I thank God for all he has given me on a daily basis. I pray daily to God that I will do his will and I trust that whatever He brings into my life it is for a purpose and I try to learn that purpose. I believe that all people are in our lives for a reason, whether it is for a few short moments or a lifetime. I believe that all that happens is for a higher purpose and I just try to have the patience and hope that at some point I will learn from the purpose. I don't own a bible or other religious publications. Any ideas where I fit ?

I realize and cherish that I am Christian. I also appreciate your suggestions of getting a bible, but I have been down that road and found that it got me so caught up in the words that it took away my time that I spend in prayer and meditation which gave me more of a sense of connection to my Father. Reading the bible and going to church are not inconvenient for me as has been suggested. I make a conscious choice not to associate with a particular fellowship. Quite frankly, my beliefs have not seemed to fit in any denomination I have associated myself with in the past.

Wow, you have certainly brought some spiritual strength with you from your life before this life... or maybe you have very good parents.
That is beautiful that you are so connected to God and His love. That is what I aim for through my religion. I've found a lot of peace through it... and I really admire people who have a natural spirituality, as it seems that you have.
As for where you fit, maybe you fit in the palm of God's hand... maybe you fit in this vast humanity... with so many religions that contain truths of God, revealed by Him who loves.
I hope that I may be one of the people who have come into your life for a reason...
Would you like to listen to some of the songs from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

You are not in any catagory. Perhaps non-believer. You have potential for being a Christians but you arent there yet. Please go get a bible and at least read 1 or 2 of the 66 books of the bible soon so you may know who Jesus is and how to be saved and become one of His children. The book of John is a good one to read. The book of Romans and Ephesians is good also. God bless you. www.biblegateway.com

Does it really matter? As long as you have a personal relationship with Christ (you have accepted Him into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior, you have asked forgiveness of your sins and you are living your life in accordance with Christ's) it doesn't matter what "religion" you fit into. I would encourage you to read the Bible. It will answer any questions you may have now. Do you follow Christ? If so, wouldn't it be reasonable to call yourself a Christian (a follower of Christ)?

You're a bedside Baptist. (A Baptist who does not go to church but has internalized the teachings of the church except for the part about regular attendance and Bible reading because they are inconvenient.) Since you didn't ask what we think you should do, I won't tell you. Besides it's not my responsibility to fix you.

As salaamu 'alaikym warahmatullahi wabaraktu.
You sound as if you might be Muslim, following the religion of peace, "Islam", and the teachings and life of the Last Prophet of Allah Subhanna wa Ta'ala, Mohammad, peace be upon him, his family and his followers.
This Buddhist has a great respect and love for his brother and sister Muslims.
Those whom this one has met and whom this one knows have been some of the kindest, gentlest, most giving and tolerant persons this one has been fortunate enough to have met in this life time.
Please bear with the current state of biased behaviors and ignorance regarding your faith. This one apologizes for those who behave in that manner.
Continue to live your faith and teach the same by your example.
May it all be well with you, ma'a salaam.
