Do NOT get a teacup, not a Yorkie, not any other dog. They are not healthy, they get sick all the time.
Actually there's no such thing a teacup. Sometimes a very small puppy is born by accident and then they breed this dog with another very small one and so on, but no respectable breeder will do it because this way you breed sick dogs.
A standard for a Yorkie is 7 lbs. If you are lucky and find a puppy, which will be about 5 lbs when grown, you get a very small and healthy dog, but if it's 4 lbs or less, you are getting a dog which may or may not live long.
Yorkie is a great dog, but get a normal one.

WALKING LADY has the right idea. They are abnormally small runts bred for their abnormally small size. They are WAY overpriced b/c recently people are obsessed with getting a super small dog . Just buy a regular healthy yorkie, they aren't that big at all. Maybe a couple pounds heavier and thats it. Not only is there no such thing as a"teacup" , but they commonly have health problems that a regular healthy yorkie wouldn't have.

Too much. Irresponsible breeders and puppy mills can put a fancy name on an extra small dog just to make lots of money. If you're looking to get a Yorkshire Terrier, I suggest you look into a Yorkie rescue or a responsible and reputable breeder who does NOT breed "teacups" and is helping to improve the breed.

Never ever get a dog from a pet store. They are often diseased and are sold to the store by irresponsible breeders who don't want their runts, or puppy mills.

I advise against getting a "teacup" dog of any breed, its just a fancy term for unhealthy runts. There are loads of brilliant little yorkies in shelters, get one from there. Save a life.
Seriously, don't buy a "teacup", its a con. Definitly get one from a rescue centre/shelter. They have really really great dogs there. I've adopted them before, they have all breeds and crossbreeds, and are perfect pets. They are a lot cheaper too if not free, but thats not the point.

"Teacup" anythings are merely undersized dogs bred by unscrupulous back yard breeders and sold for mega dollars to gullible people. If you want a yorkie, get a yorkie from a reputable breeder - you and your wallet will be glad you did!

Depends on the breeder, ours was 1700. My brother found one for 800, but his other one was 2000.
