I'm not talking about playing games, I just am thinking that maybe if a couple times a week I spend an hour or two making shots that it will be a fun way for me to be more active. Is it physicaly worth it?

Sure -- it burns calories and you're more likely to keep at it if you enjoy it

You'll feel it in your shoulders and your shooting forearm (if you have good follow-through), and in your thighs and glutes if you jump a lot... but it won't tone your muscles like weight lifting can.

As you progressively improve in your fitness level, try to keep moving constantly, chasing down your rebounds and jumping and shooting like it's a 'buzzer-beater' to keep your heart rate up.

You can also try to make yourself shoot with your other hand for balanced fitness - which is a useful skill to have if you want to eventually play against someone else.

Yes...I do this as excercise too. The thing is tho what I do, when I'm playing by myself, when I shoot, and I miss i run up and get it and be jumping around and skipping haha, and shoot and running all over the place, and I be like," WOO! GOOD PLAY!" haha but this is on my street not in a gym, i have a basketball goal here..i dont say it real loud tho, the neighbors will lookat me like im crazy. and thats how i stay active while doing it. if u shoot baskets..excluding jumping around and running like what i told you, just shooting u will burn 326 calories per hour...if u put in what i told u, like running and being real active and actin like ur all that and u just made the final shot then u probably could bump it up to 400 or more. =]
