Guten tag means "Good day", as in "have a good day", "good morning", or similar.

It is in German. Tag, is pronounced like "tock". The phrase sounds like "goo ten tock" said quickly.

If you were to say hello to a bunch of people, you would say "Tag Alles" (the A is pronounced like a short o, so this sounds like "tock oll es")

It translates to 'Good day to you'!

Just as in English you would say 'Good Morning'

If you are in a lift and collegues join you: 'mornin' '

This is the same deal though in German.

I'm not sure it's spelled correctly, but it's a German word meaning "Good morning" or "Good day."
