Hopefully, your father gets you salads and vegetables because you are a proud vegetarian.

Just talk to your dad, and he will probably understand.

Go to school even if it's not that great {with a good education you can go to college and have a better life}. If you can't get your dad to stop taking you to MacDonald's get the healthier items instead. Like a double cheeseburger without the bun is healthier than the big mac. Fruit and yogurt parfaits are good and now MacDonald's has salads. Set a goal and work towards it. Pick a good college to attend {like Harvard} and keep working till you get there. Exercise at least an hour a day. Not only does exercise help you physically, it helps you mentally. Running is a good exercise and it's cheap too. Try push-ups, crunches and jumping jacks. Be grateful for the things you do have. You have a house and food. Even if it's not that nice of a house and the food isn't good at least you have it.

Things are less than ideal for you, but let's re-examine some of the things you've said to see if things clear up for you a bit, okay? You're 11 years old and (according to you) "overweight"...this suggests that you've been eating. I have been in a few countries where many children don't survive to their 11th year because they die of starvation and malnutrition. You may not have control over your nutritional choices right now, but your weight is totally within your control; you have the option to eat smaller portions and to get more exercise (but at 11 your weight may be naturally a matter of growth variables and not worth stressing over right now).Let's see, you don't have furniture, or AC but you do have shelter (a roof over your head); many people in my town don't even have that, and there are a fair amount of children among them. You mentioned your dad's family is poor (by the way, why isn't your dad's family also your family?) and that he sends money to them to help them survive as well. I have a great deal of admiration for that, and I think you will too once your perspective matures a bit. Your school may indeed be crappy, but learning what they have to teach you is the best ticket you'll ever get to a better life for yourself. In many developing countries children aren't even allowed to attend school, so it's at least worth recognizing the fact there's an opportunity open to you that can allow you to better your condition. If you learn to count your blessings instead of your woes, you'll train yourself to seize real opportunities when they come your way. Good luck to you.

It doesnt have to stay crappy. You are young and at your age jobs are hard to find. Try going from door to door asking if people need someone to weed their gardens or mow their lawn or even pick up dog poop for a price or any other odd jobs you can do. Take the money you make and either buy yourself food you feel is better for you or save it. As you get older you can get better jobs. Save your money so when you turn 18 you have enough saved for your own apartment. Then you can take care of yourself in the manner you like. Meanwhile try to make friends when youre at school. Maybe you wont be allowed to bring them home but no at least youll have some at school.

Okay, when your father goes to McDonalds, on the dollar menu they have a side salad and snack size fruit and yogurt parfait, eat that instead of a burger. Lot's of kids don't have tv's or computers, REALLY. Why don't you try get a job mowing lawns, walking dogs, delivering newspapers, if your dad will let you. Then you can get excercise and make money to buy yourself a tv and computer. Try to do something about your situation instead of just complaining about it. Trust me, all kids hate their school, and you sound smart and interesting, this year be outgoing and make some friends, people will like you if you try to be their friend.

Well I gotta tell you, you are a good challenge. But I still think I got you beat. I am the same as most of your list. I don't have a speech impediment, low I.Q., I'm not short and my teeth are clean. The rest I have. But I do have crooked teeth, I've lost both grandparents in the last 4 months, I'm living home now at 27, and my mother now thinks I hate her. On top of that I need like 850 bucks worth of stuff done to my car.

Could be worse. You could be sleeping in dirt with rats. You could be eating a cup of rice or nothing instead of McDonald's food. You will be a man one day.7 yrs from now.Work as hard as you can to make good grades so you can get a GOOD paying job one day.You will need to go to college for that BUT you can get a grant or student loan.Hang in there. His family may be worse off than you all are.Thank GOD it is NOT worse.Be thankful for what you do have.I know what it is like not to have air conditioning.I also know what it is like to go from 230 lbs. to 185 lbs in 2 weeks because I was starving.

It should only fuel you to do better than he has done in life. You can't change them but you can make it better for yourself later on in life. You are only 11 you still have alot of growing to do. My husband was a little fat kid, when he was like 13 he stretched out and now he is 6' 4" and 230lbs. If you think you are at a low point in life it will only get better from here. Good luck!

That is crazy! Tell your dad to go to the supermarket or something. Believe me, things from the supermarket are good prices and eat something healthy. You can't keep eating like this and tell your dad at least stop in the supermarket once in a while and think about his family.
