I heard on the radio today that some bright sparks at the DVLA have elected to skip the next registration on the list - it was meant to be SNO7 but they decided not to use it because it looked a bit like the word SNOT?! (No it wasn't a joke!)

As the radio presenter said today, if the word can be read out quite freely on the radio, it can't really be that offensive. Has the whole world gone insane?!

Yeah ok then Harry - now that you have delighted in telling me how wrong I am - can I just suggest you look at the point of the question, which was really, should the registration SN07 be viewed as offensive?! Jeez, lighten up FFS!

Yes they have. Where I live they have a computer program to knock out the offensive letters. Our plate make up is three letters followed by three numbers. They have done away with certain combinations; such as f - a - g; f - u - c, etc. I don't know who programs the computer because they have left one of my favorites BFD (big f--ing deal). It is kind of funny; everyone where I live makes jokes about it.

i do no longer understand any gun vendors who oppose registering weapons and that i stay in Alaska the place almost all human beings has one. If there is an opposition to registration then it incredibly is because of the fact the government would understand the place all the weapons are in the form that it would ever attempt to confiscate them from the human beings. This has got here about in different countries. it incredibly is going to in no way ensue right here because of the fact we've the consitutional suitable to undergo arms so as that we would shield ourselves and overthrow an oppressive government.

Not issuing SN07 is not the same as skipping the next registration on the list.

The next registration is just 07. The SN prefix denotes that it's a vehicle registered in Edinburgh (S is for Scotland and Edinburgh uses K L M N and O), so what they're doing is not issuing one of the possible codes for a single office - it's hardly changing the whole system.

The whole world hasn't gone insane, as proven by the reaction to something like this. Companies are all terrified of the ever-growing army of old people who complain about everything or over-sensitive ethnic minorities.
