Because I need to know. Thinking of loosing a few pounds.

Fasting really really isn't a good way to lose weight. Yes, when you do it the weight will drop off quite quickly. But by fasting you will slow down your metabolism a lot, meaning that as soon as you start eating again your body will store it, and you will put weight on, possibly more than you lost.

About a week. But, there are stories of superhuman will to survive of much longer periods.

If you don't eat enough, you body will go into starvation mode & hang onto the fat & you'll lose muscle. Instead of starving, just be sensible. What is your habit? Snackng? Sweets, alcohol? Fried foods? Fast foods? Large or huge portions?

Consider taking 2 weeks to change some eating habits before trying to stop eating. You body will be better off because of it.

Increasing your water intake is perfect. (rids toxins & you don't feel hungry) and eat a balanced diet. A couple fruits & veggies every day.

first of all not eating is not healthy it is very damaging to your body you will become weaker and experience many problems, if you r just trying to lose a few pounds eat healthier (cut down on pop and chocolate, and for snacks get those 100 calories snacks ,they make 100 calories popcorn bags and cookies) and run or if you cant run walk (doing it with a friend is great motivation and is fun , not only will you lose weight you will trade body fat for muscle and be more healthy and athletically fit...

it depends on his will ...but there was an earthquake in pakistan in october 2005 and the rescue workers rescued a 30 year old woman after almost 2 months .she was trappen under her roof and her body was cramped but she survived on rain water only but you dont need to do it...so consult a good dietcian accordingly to your body needs then go ona water diet or whatever..cause extreme dieting can be dangerous resulting in long term illness or other problems...

Bad way to lose weight..... I think you can live like 3 weeks though.

You'll be weak and sick at the end of starving yourself.

you could live on water for like just a week before u start geting dizzy and calopsing all the time

With just liquids you can live for at least a month id think.
