has anyone heard of chemtrails?

my friend is telling me that they (who? don't know?) is having planes fly overhead certain cities....leaving contrails that contain chemicals to decrease peoples immune systems.

your friend is Paranoid. I've never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. Those planes fly at 30,000 feet, anything that could settle out of a contrail would be wafted by the wind currents far from any possible intended victims, and would most likely be deposited in the oceans that cover 2/3 of our planet. That alone makes it totally impractical to even try such a thing. But understanding how the human body works, and what it takes to do something like that on a grand scale, it would take considerably more than the number of jets now flying to affect the population on a grand scale from the air. The very idea is ludicrous, probably an urban myth started by someone with nothing better to do than look at the sky and come up with story ideas.

Seems to me this issue just came up a few days ago.

Isn't there a place to look at what has been answered so the questions are not being duplicated over and over??

I have not seen what is described as a "Chemtrail", but I have watched contrails often, even from inside the airplane making them. And now long they last depends on how dry and cold the air is when they are made.

I have seen them coming at very high altitudes from the jet engine exhausts, and at low altitudes from wing-tip vortices. Jet exhausts are hot, and any complex chemicals would be decomposed long before they got anywhere. Vortices are too low and evanescent to do much with.

Some of my friends who were Montana Freemen talked long about all the poisons the government was spraying from jets, but strangely enough they are still alive today, good as they were then!

City noise is stressful, and I do not see anybody pushing buttons to make alarms go off etc., specifically to stress you.

I live in a quiet country, so when I visit a friend in Singapore, it takes me a while to adapt to big city noises, and the worst is the recycle guys who honk bicycle horns at you to get you to give them things to recycle! Extremely annoying as they may honk the horns in a given area for 45 minutes! I have been tempted to throw down a car battery to them from the 10th story!!

But one area is a potential, and probably inadvertant. Certain L-band electromagnetic radiation at a specific low intensity induces a general malaise, re the Moscow embassy that the Russians beamed that way; just a few watts for the whole building.

People had to be taken out feeling just bad, washed out, unable to think, but got better once out of that field. From other work I have seen and experimented with, I think it involves the colloids in the body.

I know, having worked on them, that aircraft DME equipment runs in the L-band, but since the pilots and mechanics and myself in test engineering have not gotten th malaise, it is apparently not that.

Check tho what the Russians have done in low-level electromagnetic interactions with the body, and you may be less than pleasantly surprised.

US doctors and scientists all poo-pooh this, but strange to say, it does work!! Western scientists and doctors not-withstanding. Our scientists work within the box of conventional drugs and cures, and our doctors also in large reject anything that is not conventional, regardless of the evidence.

Our people would rather follow the consensus and make money than investigate what is NOT the consensus and be ridiculed and cut off and slandered..witness Global Warming now!!

But do do not think there is a Russian with a micro transmitter every few blocks sent to irradiate you and the rest of us.

A more likely problem in a big city is the accumulation of positive ions from certain pollutants, and so an ionizing air purifier can dispose of them; and you will feel better even if someone is not sending specifically you bad ions and vibes!

Also add plenty of Vitamin C to your diet, at last 1000 mg/day more than you take now, and add about 5000 IU day of Vitamin A to help your body clear out airborne pollutants, and 400 IU of Vitamin E to help the circulation so you can think clearly,.

"chemtrails" = contrails.

Contrails or vapor trails are condensation trails and artificial cirrus clouds made by the exhaust of aircraft engines or wingtip vortices which precipitate a stream of tiny ice crystals in moist, frigid upper air. Being composed of water, the visible white streams are not, in and of themselves, air pollution. However, contrails generated by engine exhaust are inevitably linked with typical fuel combustion pollutants. Contrails might also be considered visual pollution.

Contrails both reflect sunlight and trap solar radiation. Overall they have a warming effect, and flights during the night especially since there's no sunlight for the contrails to reflect.

Your friend is simply paranoid.

The only reason I am answering this question is because overwhelmingly the people who answered, never look up. The other point I need to make is that chem-trails; (remain in place and slowly become wispy clouds), are different from contrails; (water vapor that dissipates in about 90 seconds). The official position of the Freedom of Information Act under Clinton was that the chem-trails are to help cool the planet by 1.2%, the Cheney administration denies them alltogether.

I've heard of them and that seems to be a pretty accurate description of what the conspiracy is about... I know that I've been living in San Francisco for a while now and I don't really feel healthy living in the city, and I strongly believe that it has something to do with something that is going on, whether this something is done intentionally or not. Chemtrails may be doing it, although its very possible that "they" could also use ultra low-frequency waves to beam harmful radiation into whole cities from space. There's also my theory about the sound waves emitted by the seemingly non-stop sound of sirens from rescue vehicles... Their sound penetrates through everything, and it's a very abbrasive, unnerving sound that I believe has a negative impact on the human nervous system, as it produces a "fight or flight" response.

I guess the bottom line is that the government is a group of people with access to all of the secrets and technology that you couldn't even comprehend. They have to test it out somehow, and judging by the way they've managed this country, it's clear that they don't really care about the well-being of this country's people, so why should it matter to them if they induce cancer in millions of people by beaming their negative energies and waves into them? After all, if something isn't done about the human population of the world, we might have a bigger problem on our hands... So maybe they're doing the right thing?

Who knows, all of this may sound crazy... But in my opinion, thinking of the seemingly impossible "what-ifs" is far more constructive that limiting your thoughts to a box of what you think is reality.
