It will eventually spoil but the freezer life of food is extended well beyond it's "sell by" date. How long it will last in the freezer depends on what kind of food it is, the package it's stored in, the temperature of the freezer, and how air-tight the container or wrapping is.

The meat will eventually spoil. Not by bacteria, but the fats in the product will eventually become oxidized and will taste pretty awful. If not properly wrapped, the meat will also freezer burn.

I would say that if the meat was stored well prior to the expiration date and was properly wrapped, it will stay good for about 3 months, longer if it is lower in fat like chicken or turkey.

It will not spoil. It will get freezer burnt or freeze dried and lose some of its flavor, color and consistency. Wooly mammoths have been found frozen in Siberia and meat cut from them and eaten. Apparently it tasted fine and this stuff was frozen for 10 thousand years.

Meat can't spoil if frozen. Just wont be as good a product.

No it won't spoil, but it could get freezer burn unless all of the air is out of the packege. I would be good to use any frozen product within 6 months of purchase. The sell by date is used for rotating purposes.

That's why I don't eat at Wendy's. There's no way that they cook up all that meat within a reasonable amount of time, so that they don't need any preservatives. They must have some weird organic carcinogen preserving the meat. Wendy's hamburgers! Now with extra triphenyltoluene!

It starts to degrade from that date, so it can't be sold after that date. De-frost it and give it a sniff test!

Not as long as it is frozen. The clock only clicks while it is unfrozen.
