It depends. Is it finger food, or is it something that's normally eaten with utensils?

As long as you know and use basic etiquette when among other members of your species, why not. In some cultures this is normal behavior even in public.
When alone, one does not have to adhere to societal norms. You may do as you please.
If you want eat with your fingers at home, knock yourself out. No harm done.

No not really but you can eat however you would like to but don't do it in pubilc
