That term is like, so YESTERDAY man, get with the program! It is DROPPING THE KIDS OFF AT THE POOL or BOMBING THE OASIS nowadays! Flippin' gosh!!!!

Off the top of my head, I would say its because back before there was indoor plumbing.. or outdoor even, people had chamberpots and stuff they went in, which then had to be taken out and dumped.

Don't be silly...this make total sense to me.

"Dump" is the action of releasing the poo into the toilet, so you take the action.

However, it should be "leaving a $H1T" instead of taking one.
