Yes. The only time it becomes potentially harmfull is when it is atomized and inhaled. DPU is used because of it's density making warheads/armor more effective. You can hold it all day long without ill effect. Depleted means it doesn't emit the harmful rays normal found in uranium 235

Yes, it is used for missiles that can pentrate armor. Amazingly, the U.S. military is also using depleted uranium for armor plating on battle tank thereby exposing our soldiers to levels of radiation that would be forbidden in civilian life.

It is used in the Abrhams (tank) armor, and in some missiles and other building or armor penetrating rounds.

From what I understand, yes, there are still DPU rounds in stock.
DPU is a very dense material, which makes it great for armor piercing capacity.
