I am currently taking Cymbalta and it gives me some relief but the side effect of heavy sweating is really a nuisance. I am wondering if Lyrica works well. The one side effect that worries me is weight gain, I'm plenty big already! If you are taking Lyrica, please tell me about your experiences. Thanks.

I have Fibromyalgia and I did take Lyrica. The biggest side affect I felt was incredibly drugged. I know that it has helped many people. I don't have Any insurance coverage and cannot afford to purchase this drug. I know that weight gain is one of the biggest side effect, which concerned me also. I have to battle to keep my weight down.

with Fibromyalgia you basically have to try anything you think might help. What works for one person might not work for you. On the other hand it may be the best treatment you ever had. Fibromyalgia is a very difficult disease to treat.

I've had Fibromyalgia for over 8 years and I've been on Lyrica for a little over 2 months now. It's helped tremendously with pain, the best medication I've tried for it. However I have gained about 16 pounds since I started taking it and for the first month I felt incredibly drugged. It's about what's more important - gaining some weight or feeling a lot better pain-wise. I chose the weight gain, though it does still bother me.

I have had fibromyalgia for six years, lyrica helped alittle for my diabetic neuropathy in my feet and legs. I am on the fentanyl patch also, along with zanaflex. I have lumbar radiculopathy and the zanaflex helps reduce the back spasms.
I don't know how bad your fibromyalgia is but I'm pretty much bedridden. It is the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

lyrica is used to combat pain in the legs, feet, and sometimes, hands of people with diabetes.
in diabetes, the veins and arteries of some people, cannot carry the necessary oxygen and nutrients to their extremities.
when this happens, these areas become very painful.
i have seen lyrica perform minor miracles in relieving their
discomfort.
