So my dog, 7 year old female toy poodle, my dad...I always tell him dont feed her people food because she will get accustomed to it. and thats exactly what has happened. All she relies on to get through on the day is her doggie snacks and whatever people give her. she is not eating. does anyone have any idea of how I can get her to eat her food again?

People food in general is not bad for dogs. Hand feeding them throughout the day can fill them up and cause them to not want to eat their own food.
I would first take her to the vet to be sure there isn't a medical reason for her poor appetite.
Try a new high quality dog food that she hasn't had, or obtain a recipe from your vet for a balanced home cooked diet for her.

Stop feeding her people food and only give her the option of eating dog food or else she won't get anything else. Set up a feeding schedule for her. When it's time for her meal, set it down and give her 10-15 minutes to eat. If she doesn't eat it, pick it up and don't give her anything until the next meal. It sounds cruel to starve a dog, but no healthy dog will refuse to eat what they're given after they realize that's all they're going to get. You may also want to take her to the vet just to make sure there's nothing medically wrong. Also, you can mix in some wet/canned food with dry food or soak the dry food in some water to interest her more in that food. I'm sure your vet can recommend more ideas, and other people on here. There is only one thing you can do...well two. But they have to be done together. Cease ALL people food and only give her treats when she does tricks after you ask her to. And the most important, always have food down for her, and she will eat when she realizes no more human food etc. You can even entice her with some yummy canned food mixed in with her dry food etc. Good luck!

the vet had told me to only give her the dog food no treats or people food when she gets hungry she will eat it may be 3-4 days.

You could put chicken broth over the top of her hard food....... if you do this for awhile with no other people food she'll get accustomed to eating it again then you can slowly get her off the chicken broth..... it worked for me! good luck!

Try to add a little bit of dry cereal to her food. She will end up getting used to it that way.

Dogs sometimes wont eat when they want to die... mostly from living with you
