Ummm.....NO!! The only thing you are going to do is rack up a MAJOR credit card debt, end up paying thousands of dollars in interest and ruin your credit.

You're ahead to stay with your Mom & Dad

Well it's tuff. I am 20 and been out for a while. I did just marry and it's hard then too. Those credit cards are going to max out soon... and they will want payment for those cards even sooner. And if you charge over half of your limit, it hurts your credit score...which is hard to build. My advise pay cash for everything. If you don't have the money saved you'll only have less money every check. If you are already charging things then you are going into debt another day, every time you swipe that thing, plus why pay intrest on something? That's silly, you are paying $.75 for a candy bar on your card, while everyone else pays $.50 cash..add it up they aren't a good thing.

You can make it but you must make a plan and work the plan. Consider what you want for a home/apartment, and go to the utility companies, electric, telephone, trash pickup, water and get an estimate for the place that you will want to live at. Add the total up so you have a good idea what your estimate of expenses will be for a month period of time. Times that amount by 10% and put it away for safe keeping, like a nest egg. Always put away 10% so that you have something to fall back on if something unexpectedly comes up. f nothing comes up learn to save it every month anyways. Now figure out about how much you will need for food for a month keeping in mind you will have to maintain a budget to survive. Find out what your rent is going to cost you. You take that amount and mutilply it be three times, that is the amount you must make in pay for a month's time for you to survive comfortably. You need to get a job, save at least a month or two income and you will be ready to make the move you so desperately want to make. This would be your best bet to make it, and not crawl back to your parents for help. The most important thing for you to consider is self discipline ,and not to buy anything that you don't have the cash to buy it with. Using your credit cards will be your down fall, you will fail, and the credit card companies will love you for using them, but they want to be paid back and with 22% Interest. Keep one for emergencies, and cut up the rest. This will work, as a guide, but try and keep to it as much as possible. You might also think about having a room-mate which will cut your expenses almost in half. If you decide on a room-mate get an agreement in writing, and have him or her put on the lease to share all the cost together. This is my suggestion, Good Luck with it, and take everyday one at a time.

if you want horrible credit, why dont you get a job, and work as many hours as possible to put money in your pocket, and then you wont be at home....so its like your getting paid for not being at home! and then get out and get a apartment.....

seriously credit card debt is NOT THE WAY TO GO, because interests rates get high, and if you do not pay them they can later down the road debt your account for not paying, and your credit will be SUPER BAD

Well... How much money do you have on that credit card?
Second, do you have a car to move around?
Third, do you have a job?
Fourth, and most importantly, does your parents approve on what you are going to do?
Good Luck.

WOW ...

OK -- let me just point out that there are PLENTY of young people out there at that age who ARE Making it on their own -- and this includes those who are SERVING their COUNTRY in its Armed Forces ....

And yes, I do know this from PERSONAL Experience -- you see, as a very young adult ... I (along with my siblings) buried our parents .. and we already were serving our country in its Armed Forces as Single Adults and supporting ourselves independently -- as well as paying our own ways through College too.
