You become diabetic because your pancreas stops functioning correctly, or because you are obese. Not because you consume too much sugar.

Obesity has increased the number of diabetics. Because of the obesity the pancreas can not keep up production of insulin needed to metabolize the sugars in your system. Everything you eat eventually turns to sugar.

Other's have a genetic predisposition to diabetes do to genetics.

NO... but having meals irregularly over a period of 10-15 years can lead to diabetes other than hereditary risk factors. its a misconception that eating more sweets will lead to it.
