this is fill the blank question,I hope.
And then while you are on your way taking out the garbage....you see the person that subliminally insulted you,who is a bit startled,as he is sifting though your garbage can but then unexpectedly offers to help you pick up the garbage that you spilled..then you become best of friends and your lovely wife,cooks a nice dinner for you and your new friend. What an imagination...I'm so stupid...LOL sorry,Wayne...I just can't settle down.

Yes, several times actually. LOL. But sometimes I think it's good that I didn't realise that I was being insulted at the time so that I didn't react to the jerk who insulted me, even though I feel like I would have loved to tell him off.

I always realize an insult right away..depends on what type of mood I'm in as to how I deal with it. If it's one of my good days, I'll just laugh it off with a sarcastic remark.. Think they know when to back off.
We all have those days that are not so enjoyable.

Yes, I found that sarcasm seemed to be a Western brand of humor. Although I am American, I lived in an Asian culture for the first decade of my life. I encountered sarcasm when I arrived in the US. It felt weird when people would say nice things, but their body language refuted the words.
I kept doubting my own instincts until a new friend explained it to me.

You step in doggie poo, and it isn't even your doggie. And so while you are trying to scrape the poo of your shoe the pastor shows up, for a visit. And while he is visiting and trying not to notice the poo smell, the electric man shows up and disconnects your electric, because you forgot to pay your bill.
(at least we weren't talking about the in and outs of tithing, when the lights were turned off.)

no, my wife is way to busy to notice when I have a hard day.
and she never ask me to take out the trash.
we just let it pile up until company is coming.
and then we let them take it out.
after all if we have to feed them,
then they have to do something to earn it.
and since no one ever compliments me,
I take everything as an insult.
I am so used to being insulted that when someone doesn't,I take that as an insult.
