One neat utensil you can use is a Spider. I use it when I simmer or cook in water to dip foods out also.Called a spider that scoops out and used in various other foods that need scooping.

I beleive it is called a strainer. Fast food joints have what's called a fryer basket, and tongs.

That's called a spider. Or you could just use a regular slotted spoon.
