I thought God must be almighty, so why should a God come down and let himself be humiliated and crucifies (hello, can God be crucified?) to earth to purify sins? Sins are burdened to human who doesn't follow his teachings, right? So????

I mean, it's all funny! Jesus is the son of God, that's what y'all believe, right? Then why should God, the almighty send down his son to purify sins that's actually created by himself? If he is so almighty then why doesn't he erase the sins?

I have been tired to see emotional answers like those... You are blinded by the so-called love to Jesus. Think once more of what you have said. Just be open-minded, instead of telling me to open the bible, why don't you stop to review your belief?

If you had a lot of children, stubborn and annoying as they may be, who you love so much that you'd die for them, wouldn't you do it? God didn't die. His first son did. In the past, God only took blood as an atonement for sin, and the blood must have been from something pure. So people used lambs and birds and goats. But that couldn't be enough as the sin was so muck. So he made the ultimate sacrifice, his own and only son who was almost as powerful and great as he was: His apprentice from the beginning of time: Jesus. He died and his blood was used to atone for the sin of every new generation of man who will ever be born. All they have to do is believe and claim that sacrifice for themselves, and they are automatically forgiven of everything they have ever done wrong. His blood is that powerful.
While this happened,. God the Father was still in heaven, supervising the whole event. That's why I and many others believe in him, not really for his greatness, but for his love, which was strong enough to allow him make such a decision.
Will you ever love your kids enough that you'll be ready to give up your dearest one for the others? You think about it.

I believe because I love the Lord for given His life for me- so that I can be forgiven from my sin, and live eternally with Him. Jesus - God- became man for that very purpose- God chose to send Jesus, and Jesus took our sin upon Himself. Yes the Son of God was crucified, because He chose to be- Hello- think about this- Jesus is NOT DEAD- He rose from the dead or we would still be lost in our sin. We have victory over death and sin. Jesus laid aside His divinity while on the earth so that we can be saved, and live a life of righteousness.

Ok so God is not the cause of sin, humans are. As soon as the curse was put on us, God had a plan to redeem us. It's our sin that has severed the relationship between God and humans, so sin has to be paid for. Blood is used, the Bible says that blood has the life of the animal (or human) in it, which is why the spilling of blood pays for sin. In the OT it was animal blood that was used, but of course that was only temporary, when someone sinned again they had to slaughter another animal to get forgiveness. So Jesus chose to be born human and give up the glories of heaven for you, to suffer death and humiliation for you, because as the only human who never sinned, only his blood could pay for your sins (and everyone else's).
Ask yourself further, if this seems like a really foolish way for anyone to make up story to gather followers, or to base their faith on, why would anyone write it if it wasn't true? And why would the disciples be willing to die for something that wasn't true?

In the Old testament, animal sacrifices were made to delay the punishment of sin, but they were imperfect. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice who allowed himself to be crucified, and since he was without sin, he was the perfect sacrifice, not just delaying sin but completely destroying its power over man kind for those who choose to follow him. All of the sins were placed on his shoulders at some point before he died, and God turned away from his Son for that moment, which is why he cried out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Hope this clears things up.

You demonstrate your ignorance of the scriptures by making such uneducated comments. Christ purpose on Earth was to save us from our sins, which required a perfect, faultless sacrifice. Christ was faultless and when he died on the cross he washed away the sins of all those who believe in Him.

The only power that man had over Jesus was so given to man by the Father in Heaven. Try reading the Bible once and a while.

You are obviously ignorant of even a basic Christian education. Are you really interested in finding the answer to your question? If so, you would go to a library and start studying the religion. Or are you just into criticism for it's own sake? Just trying to show that you're cleverer than the millions and millions of Christians who have stayed in their faith over the past 2000 years? .

God himself was not crucified but Jesus his son whom he sent to speak his word,he saw how bad man was making the world and sent Jesus to tell us this, all the evil in the world is mans doing caused by greed mainly, all driven by money and the fight for ultimate power,God gave us free will to use in the right way if humans chose to use it for bad then its self destructive to them,God in all his might cant control evrything and he will never forsake any of his children,Jesus was crucified for daring to speak the truth and because people believed in him, which they didnt in the kings, pharohs, and rulers of the time,he was a threat to them so they did what they do killed him................

God SAID He was coming all THROUGH the book of Isaiah, and genesis 3:15, and ALL through the Old Testament.

Secondly, NOBODY has to die now, because Jesus was the LAST sacrifice NEEDED! He is the Lion and The Lamb!
