the reason why I'm asking about this person because I got a job offer from Costco Wholesale Corporation in Ontario Canada and they refer me this person for the process of all my documents in working in Canada. This person is asking from me the amount of $800 for the processing fee of my documents. I REALLY WANT TO KNOW IF THE TRANSACTION THAT I'M DEALING WITH THIS PERSON IS TRUE.... I REALLY REALLY NEED YOUR ANSWERS TO THE SOONEST TIME THANK YOU VERY MUCH........

Generally, lawyers in the US must have a JD degree to practice. The SJD degree is more of a research degree.

If you're an American who will be working in Canada, you will need a work authorization document. Some companies will cover the cost of the legal fees for you to obtain one, others won't. I'm surprised Costco doesn't pay these fees.

first unless that person is licesne in canada you can do this process yourself.

many american lawyers and canadian lawyers cannot and do not practice in each other nations. legaly.

each state has a website to help you verify the legality of a lawyer as does canada.

Don't go for that offer. Definitely it is a scam. Ignore it, don't lose your money.
