im an 18year old american and would like to live in australia my dads brother and his 3 kids and grand kids live in smithfield and said they would sponsor me but is it better to go as a student learn a needed skill and then apply as a skilled worker? or to apply as a family member immigrating?

or should i apply as an employee (my uncole owns a very succsesfull jewelry shop and is looking for someone to make jewelry moldings i know how to make them so should he sponsor me as a an employer?

APPRENTICE IS THE SAME THING AS STUDENT, AND PROBABLY BETTER. IF YOU WENT AS A STUDENT YOU WOULD BE PUT INTO THE SAME CATEGORY AS MIDDLE EASTERN AND AFRICAN STUDENTS. IF YOU'RE GOING TO WORK FOR A FAMILY MEMBER WHO IS AUSTRALIAN YOU ARE ALMOST A CITIZEN AUTOMATICALLY.

If your uncle is going to sponsor you and give you a job, then apply as both family immigrating ans employee.
