I want to ask my aunt to be my matron of honor, my future sister in law and my cousin to be my bridesmaids. How do I ask them in a special way? I have a strong relationship with all three of them and I want it to be different and special. I dont want to just take them out to luch and ask them. I feel akward doing something that plain. Any sugggestions? Thanks in advance.

what is wrong with taking them to lunch and asking them. It is an honor and I am certain that whatever you do it is going to be a very special moment for all of you.

Send them an email or write a letter and mail it to them. Tell them how much they mean to you and then ask if they could be your a matron of honor and bridesmaid. It's better this way and they are not pressured to give you an immediate response. This will give them time to think about it, if necessary. If you take them out to lunch and ask them, they would feel pressured and feel awkward to give you an immediate response. An email or writing a letter, although I suggest writing and mailing a letter, to make it more formal, is so much better!

Congratulation! Let me know if you need anything!

I made each of mine a card in which I reminised (sp?) about all the good and bad, funny and sad times we've had together. Then added there was no one else I could think of who I would love to be my maid of honor (or bridesmaid) then her.

Were you proposed to in a creative way? If not did you want to be? Either way, think of that. More than likely, ideas will come to you. Think of it in terms of you are asking them to marry you, as this is a very special request.

I had 3 bridemaids too. I framed a pic of just me and each of them. Then I wrote a message in a card about how special each of them are in my life & I wanted them to be a special part of one of the most memorable days. I took all of them to lunch together and gave them their little gift & card.

if you have a date picked out already you can get that engraved on the outside...
inside have the forturne to read- i'm fortunate to call you friend... now will you let me call you my bridesmaid? (change wording for matron of honor)

well usually you buy necklaces for them to wear on your special day and you give it to them with a special message saying you want them to help in celebrating in your special day by being in the wedding party.

I just asked them over the phone. Most people are so honored that they don't care how you do it.
