Put it in cold water, fast, and keep it there for a while. The pain will get better. Do not put butter or cream on it.
If it blisters, go to a doctor or hospital.

It depends on how much of an area you burned. Cool it with tepid water first (cool, not cold). If it blisters do not break the blister and when it does keep an eye out for infection. If the burn went all the way around your leg go to an emergency room ASAP, it is called a circumferential burn and could cut off the circulation to the lower area of the leg if it's bad enough.

That water wasn't even near boiling if your legs aren't red...if that water was even 70% boiled it would have peeled your skin off like a tomato peels in poiling water....it was just hot not boiling just put ice on it

What GBCopy said. Put it in cold water -- but for a long time. You might have to do it for a day! But that is the only thing that will bring relief, that I know of.
It happened to me as a child. ::::::shudders:::::::: , and once again as an adult.
DON'T put butter or anything like that on it. Call your pharmacist and ask for recomendations. I bet the cold water will work best, though.

If the skin is red put a damp cool cloth on it, or soak it in cool water, if you have blisters, better check with your doctor. keeping it covered will help with the pain. try some pain reliever such as aloe for sunburn (but only if you have no blisters)

Apply cool compresses. Do not apply ice. A blister will form. If it is very red, or blisters do form you might want to see a doctor to make sure you don't have 2nd or 3rd degree burns. DON'T put any kind of oils or lotions on it.

Go to the Hospital
Keep it moist and cool on the way. (A clean wet towel gently wrapped around it, do not disturb the skin!)
Keep all dirt and crap away from it.
Go to the Hospital

You could cry about it. Go to the store and buy some burn cream if you still have skin. Othewise go to the hospital.
