A mate has started dating a 30 year old woman, he is student and she has got a pretty good job. He is convinced it will work but can it really? She has got a lot going for her and is she likely to go off with someone more on her level and age? Is he going to get heart broken????

How old he looks is of no consequence...and it's funny that guys who go after 'older women' claim women their age are too immature. It's true that most people your age are not terribly mature. They haven't been adults very long and their Life experience is usually not too extensive...it takes time to "get there". However, you and this guy are both over the age of consent, so what you do is your business. Whether he's 30 or 50 or any other (18 and up) age. If you like him and he likes you, then why not see where things go? If it doesn't work out then you move on...just as you would do in any other dating situation.

No - he won't have his heart broken - she might. Most older women know what they want and will stick to it, a younger guy may well still having some emotional growing to do and may find he wants to move on sooner rather than later. If they have feelings for each other, age shouldn't matter. I wnet out with a guy 15 years younger than me and it worked till he needed to move on.

Love works in mysterious ways,and no matter what,it always finds the right people at some time or another. Just be by him,but older woman are usually more experienced and won't do damage.

They aren't at the same place in their lives (he being a student, her with a successful job), which can be difficult for a relationship. He could get his heart broken, but you live and learn.

lol maybe not she might like younger guys i'm dating older then i am i'm 20 and I was dating a 30 year old now a 26 year old I prefer older so its not bad

you have to ask yourself if this was the other way round would we be asking if he was a dirty old man... the answer would be no and nor is she a dirty old woman, let them live there lives without anybody interfering, to many people seem to think that it is wrong let them enjoy each other, or is the real reason you are jealous of your friend.....
