i have made no reference to any politicians in this question - it is NOT about dems, repubs or any other politicians.
i do not hate anyone and am astounded that anyone would have the nerve to compare the way we were supplied in WWI and WWII to the way this war has been outsourced. both of those wars were fought on a much more vast scale than the iraq debacle is and both were won by the usa, with a great deal of what is now being outsourced (laundry, food and other simple things like this) being done adequately and economically by the army.
it is the very nature of capitalism that makes it a very poor supplier of armies - profit comes first - not safety, patriotism, loyalty or even winning.
this war is not being fought so that some select corporations can show a better dividend for their shareholders on a SHORT TERM BASIS.
or is it??

Impossible... Especially since we purchase military material from foreign companies also. Remember when the army decided to change the beret style of our troops?
They were going to buy them from CHINA for Gods sake!
It's all about the money.
VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS!

Those out-sourcers are not the bad guys in spite of what Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, and all the libs want you to believe.
Those people provide much needed equipment and services for our combat troops. Often times they provide those services more economically than the Pentagon.
You make the word profit sound like a cardinal sin. Publicly owned corporations must show profit, or their stock holders will take them to task. That's what free enterprise is all about.
This is the American way. I believe you should add economics to your school curriculum. This will give you a better understanding of how the corporate world must think, in order to stay around.

yes you can first start voting for republicans if you support the troops the more republicans in office the better it is for the troops and the american people.
if you vote democrat you dont support the troops or the country in general.
second the only corparations profiting from the war are defense contractors and rebuilding companys. they dont offer you a product so it is pretty hard to boycott them
i also cant see why you would want to do that if you support the troops you should support the poeple and companys that are helping them and working with them.

I am often astounded by questions like yours. Let's go back to wars pre-Vietnam to make a point. America fought in the revolutionary war, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, etc. Every one of those wars involved people/companies making money. In the civil war, as an example, companies made the swords, the boots, the hats, the cannons, the guns, etc., etc. It's just a matter of fact that wars create such demands and companies are there to fill them! In fact, I've been hearing for the past 30 years or more that war is good for the economy. Wars create jobs. Wars drive up stock prices. Wars sell goods. These are the facts of war! But I'm not sure I've tapped into the sinister elements that you seem to have, speaking of the "parasitic corporations who have profited from this war."
Back to the civil war. It was about MANY things, but no where in history do we hear much of anything about the corporations that profited from that war. In other words, it's just a given that wars take not only troops, but supplies, ways to move the supplies, weapons, ways to move the weapons, uniforms, etc. I'm not sure I consider it particularly patriotic OR unpatriotic to think about companies filling these voids in time of war. But let's go to the flip side of the coin. WHAT IF companies said, "We don't want to be parasitic corporations who profit from this war. We will not sell you ANYTHING that you need"? Whoa! America could not fight a war without corporations, corporations that you call parasitic! What if China invaded America tomorrow and corporations took this ridiculous stance that we will not help you? We're suddenly a communist nation WISHING those "parasitic corporations" had helped out.
AGAIN, I don't think these companies necessarily care about the war effort, America, etc. Capitalism is all about profit. But ... that bottom-line promise of profit drives innovation, drives people to step up and fill needs. So, when America says, "We need tanks," someone says, "We've got 'em." Is that REALLY so bad? Is that REALLY so evil? So ... so ... parasitic?
What's the difference with me needing deoderant and someone saying, "I'll sell you some"? EVERY need is met with an offer to sell. Why is it that you separate all other needs from the needs of war? Why is it that companies that exploit our needs for profit in other areas are not considered parasites, but in time of war they are? And I say it again, WHAT IF THEY REFUSED to support this country's call for weaponry? C'mon!
I sincerely believe that you are sooooooo blinded by your hatred for this war that you have ceased to think logically. Many corporations ARE making out like bandits on THIS war. But you think that they wouldn't have been there if the war was in your mind justified? You think they ONLY want to make money off of an immoral war? Or ... could it be that you think ALL war is immoral? Ah! There's an idea. Maybe in your mind, NO COMPANY at NO TIME can sell ANYTHING to America in support of ANY war that she engages in without being called parasitic. If that's the case then you are too biased to reason with.
If you aren't so lost in your anti-war bias then I hope you'll consider what you're saying and truly take your position to the opposite extreme. Then you'll see, we're doomed without these so-called parasitic companies supplying us with our war-time needs. So, just support the troops and quit fretting the profits of the companies.

We need the corporations that produce goods for the military. We need a much larger military than we have now. There are contactors who are profitting but we also need the services that they provide

Corporations always profit from war. They always have and they always will. Do if you want to hate them, then go for it. Note that many of your politicians and other hypocrite liberal leaders have become very wealthy this way. Right Diane Fienstien?

Absolutely.
The troops pay for our freedom with their blood.
The corperations would take away that freedom for a buck.
