...what is that white stuff that comes out of them? And how long does it take to heal after that hole is left when the white stuff goes?

The white stuff is puss, can be soft and pulpy or hard. Always foul smelling. The holes never actually heal. A good course of antibiotics usually remedies the condition though removal is probably the only permanent cure.

The white stuff is mainly white cells exuding from the crypts or cavities that are always present in the tonsils. The just appear more obvious in tonsillitis, when the lymphatic tissue swells. In the 15% of tonsillar infections that are bacterial streptococcus will be there as well.

if you still have your tonsils , then it is probably infection. if its after you have had your tonsils out, then it is antibodys fighting infection and that is good. within a few weeks you should be back to normal

when i had tonsillitis my tonsils swelled up and was swore and it comes and leave but it hurt badder than the first on
