Tonsil removal is super easy these days, it's an in and out thing.

1) Most places put you in their gown for any type of surgery, that's just policy. The hat is the same thing, it just keeps hair out of the way during the surgery

2) unless there is religious importance to it, you will most likely have to remove it to wear their head covering. If you are wearing a religious covering (like a yamikah or burka) then special arrangements can be made.

3) You will be sleeping through the surgery, so you won't feel anything there, afterward, it's usually no worse than a sore throat.

4) Healing time is usually a couple of weeks to complete, but it gets better and better each day.

Don't worry, people go through it every day...:)

You are going to have an operation - something that many people can not afford and you are worried about if you have to wear a gown and a special hat ?
