It's a special date for me. So I'm making my hubby and I a Cajun cream filet mignon with pasta, mashed potatoes and bacon gravy, romaine salad with balsamic vinaigrette and feta, and maybe bread. July 14th is just important to me.

i'm thinking about making shepherd's pie... you take a large casserole dish and layer it (from bottom to top) with cooked ground beef (simmered with onions and garlic), then corn, peas, diced tomatoes, and green beans, and then covered with a thick layer of parmesean mashed potatoes, and then bake it all together on 350 degrees for about a half hour, or until the mashed potatoes turn golden brown.... mmm it's so good!
